Greetings Everyone!

I wanted to show you some GORGEOUS antique pocket watch pieces I found!

They are from pocket watches that are between 100 and 200 years old and the workmanship is just INCREDIBLE!

Keep in mind these are only about 1 inch to 1 1/2" in size!

They are called "balance cocks" and were there to help regulate how the pocket watch ran. In other words this could be adjusted in order to get the watch to run perfectly!

They are all hand pierced and hand engraved and the images that were used in these tiny works of art are simply stunning!

I think the thing I appreciate the most about them, is that the artisans created these simply for the pure joy of creating AS the mechanism was most likely only going to be seen by the watchmaker!

I have 25 in all and have included a photo of some of them below!

If you want to see them all just click HERE!

Later on in this post I'll show you some fabulous examples of what some jewelry artists have done with them!

1) I won't comment on them all but I think this first one might be my favorite!

For some reason grotesque faces were a popular theme and this one is fabulous with an image of a knights helmet, banners and trumpets on top!

The ones with the faces are by far the most sought after!
